Our bloggers dinner at Mayrig with some familiar faces and some new, was a casual, relaxed affair. We sat al fresco under the stars, in the shadow of the Burj Khalifa and enjoyed traditional Armenian dishes, recipes that were created with love and care by owner Aline. Though it was my first time tasting Armenian cuisine, there was a distinctive familiarity because of the cross-over between Lebanese and Armenian culture and so most of the dishes I had eaten a variation of, at some time previously.
